Natural Beauty Expressed through Land, Sea and Sky
In many of our beach-themed wall murals, it is the combination of blue sky, sometimes emerald green sea and the soft tonality of sand and stone that makes the scene so idyllic. Perfect for a feature wall, these sorts of wallpapers are made from some of the finest coastal photography around. Take, for example, our impressive Gotland Beach scene which brings together an almost transparent sky-blue tone, the wispy whiteness of high clouds with shimmering green dunes bursting through the greys, yellows and soft browns of the beach's pebbles. For another dramatic look, which is no less calming, why not try Rock Cave on the Beach which has dramatic yellowish sandstone colours, shown with late sunshine and deep shadows, with the tranquil blue waters of the ocean just beyond. Both bring natural elements together in glorious permutations, thereby providing a view that is almost as good as being there in the first place. In addition, Somewhere Over the Rainbow is another of our sky, land and sea scenes which features dramatic landscape at the headland of a golden sandy beach all set against a sky resplendent with a natural rainbow. In this one, like so many others, you could almost dip your toes into the crystal clear waters!
As well as our stunning beach scene photographs that are brought to life in their impressively large scale, we also have a number of more interpretive murals to consider. For instance, try looking at Another Beautiful Day by David C. Miller which sets a painted sundown sky against a thrilling tropical setting. He's also responsible for some of our other beach scenes, such as the wall mural Day at the Beach which has a herringbone sky in blue and pink with gently wading birds enjoying the last of the day's sunlight. Beach Path, by David James, is another worthy choice in the category, taking a slightly different point of view with the beach seen just beyond a tree-lined coastal path. In this scene you look ahead and into the image, perfect for installing in your home to create a greater sense of space, not to mention wonder! There again, Mickey and Friends – Beach is yet one more example of a fun beach scene which would suit children of all ages. Ideal for a bedroom or a playroom, this mural shows the gang in full flight with all the capers you'd expect at a beach.
Sometimes, you want a mural to raise an eyebrow and sometimes to raise the temperature. Thankfully, the tropical beaches shown in many of our wallpaper murals are able to do both. For example, take a look at an image such as Palm Beach Sundown. In a scene that could be replicated anywhere from Florida to Thailand or from Jamaica to Brunei, this picture features elegant palm trees in black silhouettes reaching up from the beach to the sky. With a calm reflective sea in the background, the sun shines brightly as it almost seems to come into contact with the water. The sky is rich in colour with pinks shifting into oranges, reds and even purple tones. Elsewhere, you can find the paradise-like scenes of empty beaches in full daylight offering delightful waters and fine white sands that seem to go on for ever. Check out our Tropical Beach Scene or Palm and Bliss for just two examples of this sort of carefree scene where nothing is spoilt by crowds.
The Power of the Sea
Of course, our wall murals don't only centre on calming and idyllic beach scenes but can display the full majesty of the sea in all its glory, too. Ocean scenes such as The Black Beach present a vivid picture in monotone with waves, spray, movement and power all captured in one dramatic image. Beach Mood is another example where the sky dominates the picture with waters that look like they are about to turn at a moment's notice. There again, Breaking Wave presents the sea at its most fearsome with choppy waters rushing on to landfall, all viewed by a stray gull overhead. If this doesn't take your fancy, then check out Sand Writing which shows the beautiful natural patterns left in the beach once the dynamic tides have passed.
