Tower Bridge – Wall Murals
The wall murals characterise the iconic Tower bridge spanning the majestic River Thames beautifully, displaying the scenes in their full glory. The moving roadways at the centre of the bridge, known as bascules, open to allow sea-faring vessels to pass through. The original Victorian Engine Rooms, though no longer used to power the bridge, are still available for viewing, exhibiting the ingenious technology used in order to keep the bridge in working condition for over 120 years. The two bascules take a full five minutes to raise. Always a picturesque sight, the wallpaper portrays the majesty of this historic bridge in sensational detail.
