Mount Fuji – Wall Murals
Japan’ tallest peak at 3776 metres, Mount Fuji is an active volcano, known to the locals as Fuji-san. They consider the mountain to be sacred, and it has been pilgrimage site dating back centuries. The last eruption occurred in 1707, and the first noted ascent was in 663AD. This extensive collection of wall murals depicts the mountain from all angles; across the Rainbow bridge; through the Sea of Clouds; at sunrise; and over the cityscape of Shinjuku. Nestled amidst this selection of wallpapers is a contrasting wall mural in modern relief.
