DIY Easter crafts with wallpaper for three-year-olds

With Easter around the corner, we’ve been crafting with our young friends, seen what Easter means to them through their eyes and been inspired by their ideas. This led to daffodils and wallpaper chicks on drinking straws that would delight any three-year-old.

Bambu - Yellow

Whatever crafting activity you decide to do, which wallpaper pattern you choose is not that important. Let the little ones choose, even if your chick turns out to be green or purple or you end up with daffodils and green cacti like we did. The easter crafts will be more personal and fun, and perhaps your three-year-old can tell you a cute story about why your chick is blue.

Make your own daffodil following these easy steps

1. All you need is a piece of your favorite wallpaper, children’s scissors, a pen or pencil, a template, tape or glue, pipe cleaners in colors of your choice and cupcake liners.

2. First, get your flower template. You can either find one online and print it out or draw your own flower. Trace the template on the reverse side of the wallpaper.

3. Trace as many flowers as you want to make. Cut it (or them) out carefully. This is when having an adult nearby is a good idea.

4. Turn the flower so the reverse side of the wallpaper faces up and glue or tape the pipe cleaner to it.

5. Then turn the flower upright and tape or glue a cupcake liner in the middle. Repeat until you have as many flowers as you like. You can stick daffodils in all the plants in the house or fill a vase with your flowers and place it on the breakfast table.
